Sources: Google Is Close to Buying Meebo

All Things D: Unnamed sources tell All Things D that Google is nearing a deal to buy social technology firm Meebo. Reportedly, Google will pay about $100 million for the acquisition. Meebo’s products include the Meebo Messenger Web-based instant messaging client and the Meebo Bar social media and advertising overlay for websites.

Neither Google nor Meebo have officially commented on reports about the deal.
