Red Hat Releases Openstack Preview

The Inquirer: Red Hat has released a preview of its version of the Openstack cloud computing software bundled with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The company plans to begin selling commercial support for the open source infrastructure-as-a-service software next year.

Red Hat has been a big supporter of and contributor to the Open Stack project, as have Canonical, Suse and Rackspace. “Through our expanding involvement with Openstack, we’ve seen a thriving community develop and are excited in reaching this milestone along the way to delivering an enterprise-class product based on this open cloud technology,” said Red Hat’s Brian Stevens. “Our current productisation efforts are focused around hardening an integrated solution of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Openstack to deliver an enterprise-ready solution that enables enterprises worldwide to realise infrastructure clouds.”
