Bottom Line

Stibo Systems’ master data management (MDM) products are particularly good at tracking product data. This makes them a good choice for retailers, manufacturers, distributors and other companies that need to track complex product relationships.

Its automation feature promises to lower staff workload over time, and its configurable dashboard lets users select their most important variables.

Furthermore, the company also has additional product-related offerings that can be used in concert its core MDM offering.

Company Description

Headquartered in Arhus, Denmark, Stibo Systems was founded in 1794 as a printing company called Stibo, which published the local newspaper. The company experienced very modest success until the earlier twentieth century, when it began printing railroad timetables and, later, telephone directories. In the 1970s, the company expanded into new areas and established Stibo Systems as a software company. Today, the firm offers master data management and product lifecycle management applications. Its products have been highly rated by Gartner, Forrester and Ventana Research.

Stibo has approximately 1,000 employees. It is owned by a private foundation called Stibo-Fonden.

Product Description

Stibo offers three different MDM products: Multidomain Master Data Management, Product Master Data Management and Customer Master Data Management. The multidomain tool can track product, customer, asset, supplier, employee, reference and location data. It is designed to eliminate data siloes by integrating data from enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and other applications. All the products are based on the company’s STEP Trailblazer MDM platform.
