Computerworld: Kodak has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and lawsuits with the U.S. District Court, alleging that mobile devices made by HTC and Apple violate four of Kodak’s digital imaging patents. Although Kodak has asked the ITC to halt the import of smartphones and tablets that violate its patents, the company says that its ultimate goal is “fair compensation for the unauthorized use” of its technology.

Kodak had previously sued Apple over similar patent infringement allegations. More than 30 companies, including LG Electronics, Motorola, Samsung Electronics and Nokia, already pay Kodak licensing fees on the technology patents in question.
